What the research shows in New Zealand
In research conducted by Kantar in April 2025, 91% of New Zealanders said regular eye check-ups are important (Kantar, 2025).
The same research highlights practical barriers that can get in the way, especially:
- 48% who say their vision seems fine, so they don’t think they need to go
- 39% who say eye checks are too expensive (Kantar, 2025)
Gift of Sight packs are designed to tackle those barriers by making eye health checks more accessible during March, and making the risk easier to understand and talk about.
