Blindness from glaucoma is PREVENTABLE. There are over 65 000 Kiwis unaware they are living with glaucoma and it won’t be detected unless they have an eye health check. Could this be you, or someone in your community?
You can help your community – workplace, retirement village, church, community group or family, by starting a conversation about the importance of eye health to maintain our quality of life, remain independent and continue to enjoy activities with our loved ones.
Join the movement!
This summer, gather your friends, family and colleagues to take part in Round the Bays across Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland. Walk, or run together as a community that gets it – the highs, the hurdles, and everything in between. You don’t need to run a marathon. You just needed to show up.
Bring your whānau, and bring your mates. To walk for yourself, or for someone you love or donate to their page. Glaucoma doesn’t stop us. It moves us. Every move we make together brings us closer to a future where glaucoma awareness can’t be ignored.
Sign up to participate and you will receive a free Awareness campaign t-shirt to wear proudly at the event. Fundraise in the way that suits you best, or let us help create a page for you.
